The challenge
The contractor needed a post-tensioned slab alternative evaluated without delaying the basement pour already underway.
Our approach
Our structural desk modelled both conventional RCC and PT slab schemes, compared tonnage and cycle time, then produced full bar bending schedules for the selected option floor by floor.
Results
- Rebar tonnage reduced 9% against the tender design
- Floor cycle shortened from 8 to 6 days
- Zero RFIs raised on the issued shop drawings
